Welcome to
Redeemer Lutheran Church
A congregation rooted in North Bay since 1930. We gather every Sunday at 10:30 AM to worship, connect, and serve our community together.
Nearly a century of faith on Ferguson Street
Redeemer Lutheran Church has called North Bay home for nearly a century. Our stone church on Ferguson Street, built in 1937 and expanded in 1992, has welcomed generations of families, newcomers, and neighbours looking for a place to belong.
We are a congregation of the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, guided by Scripture, shaped by our tradition, and committed to the people of this city. Worship, community, and service are not separate programmes here. They are the same life, lived together.
"God doesn't need your good works, but your neighbour does."

Worship. Community. Service.
Worship
We gather every Sunday around Word and Sacrament: Scripture, prayer, and music. Our choir contributes to worship as available, bringing depth and warmth to the service, and we look forward to its continued growth in the life of our church.
Community
We are a congregation that makes time for one another. Twice a month we gather after worship for fellowship over shared meals and coffee, prepared by our Fellowship Team. We also run a monthly Youth Alpha for youth and young adults with questions about faith.
Service
We provide winter clothing, including coats and other essential winter items, to those in need, person to person, during the colder months. Our Food for Friends initiative provides bags of groceries every Tuesday morning. Serving this city is an expression of our faith.
Gathering around the table
Thanksgiving · Annual
Thanksgiving Food Collection
Each Thanksgiving, members of our congregation bring groceries and clothing to church. The donations are placed on the altar and prayed over together as a congregation, a symbol of offering back to God what we have received, before being delivered to The Gathering Place, North Bay's food redistribution centre.
The Gathering Place works to eliminate food insecurity in our city, serving thousands of meals and rescuing hundreds of thousands of pounds of food each year. Last year our congregation brought over 500 pounds of groceries. This collection is our practical way of exercising thankfulness during the holiday, connecting our worship to the needs of our neighbours.
Twice a Year · Spring & Thanksgiving
Soup for the Soul
Twice a year, in spring and around Thanksgiving, we open our doors for Soup for the Soul: a community meal where neighbours gather around the table to share a bowl of soup, good conversation, and homemade baking.
The evening also includes a bake sale, with treats contributed by members of the congregation. All proceeds go toward the ongoing costs of running our church and keeping our doors open to the community.
Easter Sunday · 9:00 – 10:00 AM
Easter Breakfast
On Easter Sunday morning, before the service begins, we gather for a full breakfast together. Pancakes, sausages, coffee, and good company, all served from 9:00 to 10:00 AM as a joyful way to begin the most important celebration in the Christian year.
The Easter Breakfast is open to everyone. Whether you are a longtime member or visiting for the first time, you are welcome at the table. It is one of our favourite mornings of the year, a simple, warm way to celebrate the resurrection together before we worship.
St. Valentine's Day & St. Patrick's Day
Fellowship with Bunco
Twice a year, around St. Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day, we stay after the service for a round of Bunco. It is a simple, fast-paced dice game that needs no experience to enjoy, just a willingness to laugh and roll the dice.
There is food, prizes, and plenty of conversation. It is fellowship at its most straightforward: good people, a shared table, and a reason to gather. All are welcome.
Third Sunday of December · After the Service
Christmas Dinner
On the third Sunday of December, we stay after worship to share a Christmas lunch together. It is one of the year's most anticipated gatherings, a chance to slow down in the middle of a busy season and celebrate with the people who make up this congregation.
Food, warmth, and the company of neighbours old and new. A fitting way to mark the season of Advent as a community of faith.
You are always welcome
Our doors are open every Sunday at 10:30 AM. If you have questions, want to connect with our pastor Rev. Enzo Pellini, or would like to learn more about any of our programmes, reach out anytime.
